Well I have over 370k on my '84 Corvette, didn't burn or leak oil. Gas mileage was above EPA rating "in town" and close to "highway" rating. (Currently being restored). My '94 Isuzu Trooper has 180k, doesn't leak or burn oil. It gets over the rated mileage for "in town" and "highway" uses. Synthetic oils and filters work!
Personally, anyone with less than 100k, hasn't truly broken the vehicle in...

My little HONDA Civic DX has over 438,000 miles showing, but the actual mileage is probably closer to 470,000. The speedometer cable popped loose at 438K, and I haven't had it fixed. The engine is original, the clutch (it is a five-speed, as are most Civics) has been overhauled thoroughly once. And it still gets about 36-38 mpg. I know the distance, since my commute is exactly 33 miles one-way.

I run my cars to the point where they are becoming less sellable in the used car market. Since my commute to work is lengthy (70 miles) I do hit about 30 to 36 thousand miles per year. I'll keep my car about 7 years, getting rid of it with about 200K on it. I do keep my cars in great shape, so it is perfect for the student or someone needing a car to get to the train station.

Usually when I go over 75K, it's time to start looking for a different auto, before the big repairs start.

Previous vehicle was a 1980 Citation that I got new in Nov. '79 and drove until March '91. It died with about 104,000 miles on it. Current car is '89 Corsica. It's got about 115,000 miles. My mom's car is a 92 Achieva she bought used. It's got 80,000 on it.

Had an '03 Dodge Neon that I had from 2 miles. Traded it off in 2007 for an '05 Chrysler Town and Country minivan. The Neon had 64,000 miles on it when it was traded off. The T&C is much more comfortable, went from 32mpg (27 average city/hwy) to 27 mpg (23 average city/hwy). A little more expensive to drive but quieter, great AC and heater, and a LOT more room, but not quite the chic magnet :-) My 6'3" body thanks me, though.

Over 300K on the last car; 302,000 kms on the current Caprice. Works like all get out, and keeps on going. Will likely get to 400K.
