I purchase ethel or premium so the my built 300 I-6 in my '58 Mercury M-100 truck doesn't Ping.

I always used super cause i was told it keeps the engine running smooth
but with the gas prices the way they are, i'm a regular baby

I used to fill up with highest octane. I don't buy anything but regular since Summer 2005.

depends on which car needs gas I got a integra-GSR and it only takes premium but the other car i just use unleaded

My 04 dodge ram truck takes regular so that's all i use but for my 03 Vw turbo jetta takes unleaded plus. When i use regular in that car it runs like crap

I use regular in vehicles that are made for regular and higher octane for those vehicles that require it.

Unfortunately, I drive an older vehicle whose manufacturer recommends premium. It pings on anything less.

Often - usually buy higher octane.
I found that when I use higher octane instead of regular, my emission test result (required by the government when license renewal)is better.

Almost always never. All mine do fine on regular.
